Updates Hub

BRIGANDINE ABYSS is in launch week. PC went live on 26 August 2026; Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S followed on 27 August. This Updates Hub is a dated timeline of what Adglobe, Happinet, and NIS America actually shipped in public. It does not invent Update 1.1 in September, 1.2 in October, an Abyssal Crisis expansion, a Season Pass, or a World Tournament. Those names are not announced. If a future patch lands, it will get a new dated heading. Until then, treat this page as history plus a watch notice.

Platform SKUs, demo save rules, and Switch 2’s locked 30fps belong next to Release Info. Buy/skip context is the Review. How to play the game you just bought is Getting Started and the Guides Hub.

12 February 2026 — announced

NIS America and Happinet announced BRIGANDINE ABYSS during a PlayStation State of Play. The pitch was a new Meltitea setting, six Story Mode campaigns, Mission Mode with 24 factions, and hex battles after an Organization layer. This is a new continent, not a Legend of Runersia remaster.

22 April 2026 — dated

A trailer locked the street dates: 26 August 2026 for PC via Steam, 27 August 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Xbox is digital-only. Deluxe bundles that include a digital soundtrack and a mini artbook were part of the console messaging; Steam sells the soundtrack and artbook as separate extras or a Deluxe bundle. Sticker price settled at $49.99 / $50.

25 May 2026 — Steam demo

A Steam demo went live. It covers two seasons of Gran Dragnica (Largo and the dragons) and Scarlet Will (Garnet). Saves do not transfer to retail. That rule did not change at launch. Use the demo as a systems test, then start a new campaign in the full game.

June–July 2026 — producer letters, frame-rate fight

Producer Masaru Saito posted producer letters while the Steam demo was in the wild. Early demo performance sat at 30fps and drew complaints. The letters are the public record of “we hear you” before the numbered demo patch. They are also the reason people expect post-launch feedback patches: Saito has already shown he will ship QoL when the demo community yells. That is not a promise of a dated 1.1. It is a reason to watch official Happinet and NIS channels instead of wiki rumor.

8 July 2026 — Demo Ver 1.01 (and retail QoL)

Saito’s 8 July letter listed Demo Ver 1.01 and said the same features were coming to the Steam retail build. That list is the closest thing launch PC has to a “day-one QoL patch,” because it shipped in the product rather than as a mysterious crash-fix PDF.

Demo Ver 1.01 contents (public):

  • Graphics options: V-Sync on/off; frame-rate 30 / 60 / 120 / 144 / unlimited
  • Unit readability: ally/enemy color coding on/off; unit size default / medium / small
  • Buy usable gear from the equip screen
  • Mouse edge scroll on the map
  • Miscellaneous bugfixes (not a published exploit-by-exploit list)

If you are on PC at launch, this is the options menu you should open before you blame the game for 30fps or unreadable blobs. Switch 2 remains a locked 30fps target for stability; that is a console decision, not Demo 1.01.

30 July 2026 — console demo and Reddit AMA

The demo arrived on Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on 30 July, still Gran Dragnica and Scarlet Will, still two seasons, still no save transfer. NIS also ran a Reddit AMA with Saito around that window. Treat AMA answers as producer intent, not as patch notes. If an AMA promised a future change that has not appeared in a numbered client, it is not on this timeline as a shipped update.

26–27 August 2026 — full launch

Retail is live. Story Mode (six campaigns), Mission Mode (24 win conditions), Organization / Attack / Invasion seasons, Rally and Dismiss, Niffrom’s Market, quests, training, mercenaries who perish forever. PC includes the 1.01 quality-of-life listed above. Digital extras: soundtrack and artbook on Steam (and Deluxe console bundles).

What we are not listing. There is no confirmed public day-one crash-patch document with a bug-by-bug list as of 27 August 2026. Inventing “fixed Battle Phase monster crash” or “river movement costs” would be fanfiction. If a platform ships a silent store update, it will need a vendor note before it belongs here.

What is not announced. No story DLC title. No Season Pass. No Update 1.1/1.2 calendar. No World Tournament mode. Watch official channels; Saito’s demo behavior is the only evidence that feedback patches are likely, not a schedule.

How to read this page after launch week

When a real patch drops, add it with a date and the official bullet list. Until then, if a video thumbnail says “Update 1.1 September,” it is wrong. For tactics inside the game that launched, use Combat Tips and Rally System. For whether you should still buy, use the Review and How to Play.

This hub will not fill empty space with balance speculation. The army is 100-plus units, the first campaign is about 30 hours, and the live client is the 26–27 August build plus whatever storefronts silently hash-updated without notes. That is the whole current version story.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about BRIGANDINE ABYSS.

Is there a day-one patch list?

Not a confirmed public crash-fix list as of launch week. PC retail includes Demo Ver 1.01 quality-of-life (frame-rate options, color coding, unit size, buy-from-equip, edge scroll). Do not trust invented bug charts.

Will demo progress carry over?

No. The May Steam demo and the 30 July console demo are two seasons of Gran Dragnica and Scarlet Will with no save transfer into retail.

Is story DLC or a Season Pass out?

No. As of launch week nothing named Abyssal Crisis, Season Pass, or World Tournament has been announced. Steam sells a soundtrack and artbook as extras, not as story expansions.

Will the game get feedback patches?

Producer Masaru Saito already patched the demo from 30fps complaints into 1.01 options. That history suggests official channels are worth watching. It is not a dated promise of Update 1.1.
