BRIGANDINE ABYSS Guides Hub
Rally, seasons, and hex battles on Meltitea—written for launch week.
BRIGANDINE ABYSS launched on PC on 26 August 2026 and on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on 27 August. This Guides Hub is for that first week of the full game: how seasons actually flow, how to keep three squads alive, and which systems reviewers called the real hook versus the grind. Adglobe developed the war; Happinet publishes it in Japan and NIS America in the West. The continent is Meltitea. There is no multiplayer, and there is no story DLC announced as of launch week.
If you only have time for one page before you start Story Mode, read Getting Started and then the How to Play overview. If you already bounced off the demo, jump to Rally System and Combat Tips—those two pages explain the mechanic that actually changed the series and the habits that keep Invasion battles from turning into a slog.
What a season looks like
A campaign is not a linear chapter list. It is a sequence of seasons. Each season has three phases:
Organization. Assign leaders and monsters, buy from Niffrom’s Market, send people on quests and training, and spend money plus materials to upgrade bases. Leaders on quests cannot defend. Troops you move during this phase are committed: they will not be sitting at a different castle later in the same season.
Attack. Declare which neighboring regions you will invade. Watch which rivals declared on you. This phase is short, but it locks the Invasion board.
Invasion. Hex battles. You may send up to three squads. Each leader spends Command Points to field up to five monsters. Win by breaking the enemy when you attack, or hold the line when you are invaded. Then the season ticks forward.
Story Mode adds locked nations you cannot invade until the plot allows it, and timed Event Battles that can end the campaign if you lose. Mission Mode drops most of that framing and gives 24 factions their own win conditions. Platform dates, the demo, and what transferred (nothing) live on Release Info.
Guide index
Getting Started
The Getting Started page is the day-one checklist: first-faction choice (Gran Dragnica or Scarlet Will if you played the demo), Command Points, mercenaries that die forever, class changes at 10 and 20, and why you should not paint the map in season two. It links out to systems pages so you are not hunting through menus while an Event Battle timer is already running.
Campaign Walkthrough
The Campaign Walkthrough stays spoiler-light. It covers opening habits for Gran Dragnica under Largo and Scarlet Will under Garnet, then the mid-campaign loop that actually decides whether you last thirty hours or bounce at hour twelve. For nation-by-nation story framing, use Story Campaigns.
Combat Tips
Combat Tips is about Invasion, not Organization. Focus enemy leaders so their monsters flee. Rally when a body on a hex is doing nothing. Use fliers and height instead of walking the long way across empty maps. Do not stack your three squads into one AoE. Accuracy and AI are janky in a way reviews treated as real, not as a skill issue you can ignore.
Rally System
Rally System is the deepest page in this hub. Rally pulls a monster off the field and gives the leader that monster’s trait. Dismiss puts the body back. Lizard Rally is the extra-action case everyone will copy. The page also covers Rally batteries, Zone of Control bodies, and what happens if the leader dies with a monster still absorbed.
Base Building
Base Building is Organization economics. Upgrade with money and materials each season. Leave a garrison for Invasion defense. Do not capture six empty castles if you only have three deployable squads. Troops moved in Organization are gone from that castle for the rest of the season.
Quests and Training
Quests and Training is how you get materials, class-change items at level 20, and extra gear without starving the front. Mercenaries are quest fodder because they perish forever. Named story leaders should be training or fighting, not dying on a fetch quest while a rival walks into your capital.
How to use these pages with the rest of the wiki
Guides assume you know the names of the six Story Mode nations and that monsters are bound through Command Points, not through a separate auto-battle. For nation identity and Mission Mode, start at Factions. For promotion items and class trees, use the Class System page. For summon costs and what to attach to a leader, use Monster Summoning. If you are still deciding whether to buy, read the Review (it is not a hype piece) and the Updates Hub so you know what actually shipped at launch versus what people invented about future patches.
These guides will not invent Update 1.1, a Season Pass, or named story DLC. Producer Masaru Saito has a history of shipping feedback patches after demos; watch official channels. Until a patch notes page exists, treat retail as the game that already includes Demo Ver 1.01 quality-of-life on PC, and treat Switch 2 as a locked 30fps build.
Play the demo if you have not: two seasons of Gran Dragnica and Scarlet Will, no save transfer. Then come back here when the first Event Battle is on the calendar and you realize half your leaders are on quests.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about BRIGANDINE ABYSS.
Which guide should I read first after the demo?
Start with Getting Started, then Rally System. The demo already taught seasons; Rally is the system that decides whether Invasion battles stay interesting after the opening.
Do these guides spoil Story Mode?
Campaign Walkthrough stays spoiler-light: opening advice for Gran Dragnica and Scarlet Will, then mid-campaign habits. It does not walk event-by-event through later nations.
Is there a day-one crash patch list on this hub?
No. Launch week has no confirmed public day-one crash-patch notes. Retail includes the Demo 1.01 quality-of-life features. See the Updates Hub for the real timeline only.
How long is a first campaign?
Plan on about 30 hours for one Story Mode path. All six campaigns together run 100 hours or more, and Mission Mode adds another long tail.
