Best Monsters in BRIGANDINE ABYSS

The best monster in BRIGANDINE ABYSS is the one whose job matches the next castle map and still fits the leader’s Command Point pool after a class upgrade. This page ranks roles—tank, flier, Rally battery, nuker—and uses creature types that reviews and official flavor actually name. It will not rank unsourced unique titles as if they were in the bestiary. If you need the recruitment loop, start with Monster Summoning. If you want a compact S/A/B chart, use the Monster Tier List. New commanders should still read How to Play before shopping.

Adglobe’s combat rewards hunting the enemy leader until remaining monsters retreat, surviving accuracy misses, and using Rally without donating a bound creature when the knight dies. “Best” follows those rules.

S-priority role: Rally battery

Rally absorbs one monster and copies passives: movement, counter, element on attacks, defense, extra action. The lizard extra-turn trait—two leader turns in a row—is among the strongest tools published reviews mention. Talentis is the Mission Mode nation flavored around lizardmen; Story Mode still lets the type matter whenever you can bind it. A lizard you Rally every fight is often more valuable than a prettier body left on a hex. The cost is real: that monster is not blocking, not encircling, and is at risk if the leader dies while absorbed. Dismiss returns it; some reports treat dismiss as movement, which can silence a mage leader. Learn the timing on the Rally guide before you call every lizard an automatic pick.

Defense and counter Rally traits are the conservative batteries: they keep a plot knight alive while you still plan to dismiss into a spell. Movement Rally is the height answer when you did not summon a flier. Element-on-attacks is a nuker patch for a physical leader, not a replacement for a dedicated damage monster.

S-priority role: flier

Height now changes range and movement. Flying units ignore some of those restrictions. Independent monster movement—new versus older Brigandine—lets a flier peel off and link with another squad, which is how you finish a leader hiding behind cliffs. On river and mountain maps previewed before release, the flier is the summon you regret skipping. Centaurs (Kelmoon) and other mobile types can fill similar jobs on flatter ground, but they are not the same as true flight. Rank fliers by the map, not by a fake MOV number this wiki will not invent.

A-priority role: tank

Tanks occupy hexes, create zone of control, and make encirclement possible. Dullahan (Delzia) and kukrodolls (Kuklock) read as stubborn front-line flavor; dragons (Gran Dragnica) often play as expensive durability-plus-damage sinks. A tank you Rally for a defense trait is no longer a hex. Keep one body on the line unless the extra action from a lizard is winning the turn. Mercenary knights can fake a tank role on quests; they should not be your only wall in a story special against six enemy squads.

A-priority role: nuker

Nukers exist to delete the enemy leader or the healer walking into your line. Dragons are the obvious Gran Dragnica answer and a Command Point problem after promotion. Chimeras (Pandemyuon) are the story-campaign identity for messy, high-upside kits. Vampires (Noble Enhance) and ash wolves (Ebony Fang) are Mission Mode flavor for aggressive pressure. Kraken (Luon Hearts) and mermaids (Centuria) are map-dependent nukers and controllers around water. Unicorns (Scarlet Will) are the beginner-friendly identity: readable, campaign-supported, and a reason the Faction Tier List puts Scarlet Will first. None of these need a fan title to be usable.

How Command Points change “best”

Up to five monsters per leader if CP allows. Class upgrades raise cost. The best early summon is often a cheap fourth and fifth body that still encircles. The best mid-campaign summon is the one you can still afford after level 10, then after level 20 items from Quests and Training. Niffrom’s Market will not refund a promotion. If a dragon evicts your Rally lizard, you chose a trophy over a turn. Typical deployments are three squads; specials can face six, which is when cheap tanks and one Rally battery beat three over-promoted nukers you cannot field together.

Fallen allied monsters can often be resurrected for money after battle. That makes a risky flier less terrifying than a mercenary knight on the same hex. Killing enemy monsters still weakens the next siege, so your nukers have a campaign job beyond the current map.

Beginner shopping list

Start Scarlet Will or Gran Dragnica per the Best Faction and Faction Overview pages. Bind a Rally battery if you have a lizard trait, a flier if the next map has height, and a tank that you actually leave on a hex. Learn independent movement and linking in Combat Tips. Promote on the Class System schedule so CP stays legal. When you outgrow the first campaign, Pandemyuon chimeras and Mission Mode kits (Ebony Fang wolves, Centuria mermaids, Talentis lizards) are variety, not a secret S-tier list of unpublished names. Knights who spend those points are covered in the Knights & Classes Hub and Stats.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about BRIGANDINE ABYSS.

What is the single best monster?

There is no sourced unique king. The lizard extra-action Rally trait is among the strongest jobs. Fliers win height maps. Dragons are expensive nuker-tanks if Command Points still allow them.

Why rank roles instead of a named bestiary?

Unique titles in older wiki drafts were not confirmed. This page uses dragons, unicorns, chimeras, lizards, and other types tied to real factions, ranked by role.

Should I promote my best monster immediately?

Not if the class upgrade blows the Command Point budget. You may have to drop units. Delay the upgrade or cut a weaker body first.

Are Mission Mode creatures stronger than Story Mode ones?

They are different pools and win conditions, not a power ranking. Ebony Fang wolves or Talentis lizards are flavor and tools, not automatically higher tier.
