BRIGANDINE ABYSS Story Campaigns
Six nations answer Chaossolus and the Abyssloa Empire.
Story Mode is the narrative half of BRIGANDINE ABYSS. Adglobe set it on Meltitea. Happinet and NIS America published the single-player release on August 26, 2026 for PC and August 27, 2026 for consoles. You choose one of six campaigns and play that nation’s war against the crisis that creates Abyssloa. There are no other Story Mode factions. Mission Mode’s twenty-four nations, listed on Mission Mode, already include these six.
The crisis: Chaossolus, Solginat, Brigandine, Abyssloa
Chaossolus is an advisor. He kills the king of Solginat, steals the Brigandine, and declares the Abyssloa Empire. Every Story Mode campaign is a different nation’s answer to that theft and that empire. The Queendom of Mysteine is historically tied to the relic: the sorcerer Lunadea founded the small realm and forged the Brigandine. Pandemyuon’s chimera research is tied to Chaossolus. Gran Dragnica’s dragons are brainwashed by the new empire. The other campaigns fight from their own lands: southwestern grasslands, a hidden forest village, an eastern island clan.
Abyssloa is a Mission Mode nation as well as the empire in the plot. You do not play a seventh Story Mode campaign as Abyssloa. You play one of the six listed below, then you can sit in Abyssloa’s Mission Mode slot if you want the imperial board without that nation’s Story Mode protagonist.
How Story Mode actually plays
Some nations cannot be invaded until Event Battles fire. The map is not a free-for-all from season one. Event Battles can pull any of your squads regardless of where they are standing. Geography does not protect a stack you left on the far coast. Fail an Event Battle and the campaign is over. That is a hard game over for that save’s story, not a retry from the last Rally.
Story members join automatically. You do not recruit the named campaign cast through a generic hire pool the way you might pad a Mission Mode army. The rest of the loop is still seasons, bases, classes, monsters, and Rally. How to Play covers that loop. The Campaign Walkthrough is the early-seasons companion. Game Modes contrasts this structure with Mission Mode’s ninety-nine-season puzzles.
Game8 estimates about thirty hours per campaign. Six campaigns run past one hundred hours. All six are available from the start. You do not unlock Saya by finishing Garnet.
The six campaigns
Gran Dragnica — Largo. Dragon tamers on barren wilds. Largo fights to free dragons brainwashed by the new empire. Demo faction. A natural first campaign if you want beasts and a tutorial that already shipped. Details sit in the Faction Overview. First-campaign advice is on Best Faction.
Scarlet Will — Garnet. Justice mercenaries with unicorns on the southwestern grasslands. Garnet becomes leader after her father is killed. Demo faction and the beginner-friendly Story Mode pick. Still a full thirty-hour-class campaign with Event Battle game overs.
Queendom of Mysteine — Zeilzarde. A small realm founded by Lunadea, forger of the Brigandine. Zeilzarde is the Queen’s Guardian. Continent-watch duty is the fantasy. Pick this when you want to play the keepers of the relic, not when you need a hidden easy mode.
Purifanoe — Alicebelle. A hidden fairy village in a great forest, where time flows slowly inside. Steam achievements also use Alysbelle; both spellings are the same protagonist. Available from the start. Not a Mission Mode-only curiosity.
Samura Clan — Saya. Warrior culture in eastern Mihashira. Isolated island tribe. Rivaled by the Shugen Clan, who are a Mission Mode nation of ninja and onmyoji, not a seventh story. Playing Saya does not play Shugen.
Pandemyuon — TYPE-F. A chimera-created boy who defects after meeting a sacred maiden. Secret chimera research tied to Chaossolus. The unusual campaign. Available from the start if that story is why you bought the game.
What Story Mode is not
It is not thirty unique story nations. It is not multiplayer. It is not Mission Mode with cutscenes glued on. Mission Mode uses unique win conditions: full map control, raising specific bases, selling items, seasonal debt, monster collection, class or character restrictions, twenty-season conquest, Event Battle sequences. Story Mode uses the shared crisis and the Event Battle rules above. The Faction Tier List does not replace that split.
