BRIGANDINE ABYSS Monster Tier List
Roles and real types. No unsourced unique titles.
This monster tier list ranks jobs in BRIGANDINE ABYSS using creature types that reviews and official flavor confirm. S-tier is the lizard extra-action Rally battery and the flier on height maps. A-tier is expensive dragons, chimera-shaped high-upside kits, and tanks you actually leave on a hex. B-tier is map-locked water creatures and trophy promotions that blow Command Points. It does not rank unsourced unique titles as if they were official. For shopping order without the chart, use Best Monsters. For how to bind them, use Monster Summoning.
A monster is only as legal as its leader’s Command Point pool. Up to five per knight if CP allows. Class upgrades raise cost. Typical battles deploy three squads; story specials can face six. Defeat the enemy leader and the rest of that squad retreats. Rally puts one of your monsters at risk if the leader dies. Those rules beat any fan name.
S-tier: extra-action Rally and fliers
Lizard Rally battery. Reviews call the lizard trait that lets a leader take two turns in a row among the strongest Rally effects in the game. Talentis is the Mission Mode nation built around lizardmen; the job still applies whenever you can bind the type. You give up a hex body and accept loss-on-leader-death while absorbed. Dismiss returns the monster and may count as movement for spellcasting. That is still S. Details: Rally guide.
Fliers. Height changes range and movement. Flying ignores some of those limits. Independent movement (new versus older Brigandine) lets a flier link with another squad and finish a leader behind cliffs. On the river and elevation maps previewed before launch, skipping a flier is how you lose a legal three-squad fight. Other Rally traits—movement, counter, defense, element on attacks—sit in high A / low S depending on the castle. They are not fake unique monsters; they are loadouts.
A-tier: dragons, unicorns, tanks, chimera kits
Dragons (Gran Dragnica) are A because they do the nuker-tank job and then tax Command Points after class change. They teach the drop-a-unit lesson that every campaign repeats. They are not automatic S once they evict your Rally lizard.
Unicorns (Scarlet Will) are A as a first-campaign core: readable, supported by the story on-ramp the Faction Tier List recommends, and good enough while you learn Fate Binding. They are not a secret broken unique.
Front-line tanks—dullahan (Delzia), kukrodolls (Kuklock), and any stubborn body you leave on a hex—are A because zone of control and encirclement still decide accuracy-heavy fights. A tank you Rally for defense is no longer a tank. Keep the jobs split.
Chimeras (Pandemyuon) are A for veterans: high-upside identity, easy to over-promote, poor first teacher. Ash wolves (Ebony Fang) and vampires (Noble Enhance) are A as Mission Mode pressure tools, not as a power ranking that says Mission Mode is “harder Story Mode.”
B-tier: water specialists and over-promoted trophies
Kraken (Luon Hearts) and mermaids (Centuria) are B until the map is water. Then they jump. Rank the map, not a permanent sticker. Centaurs (Kelmoon) are mobile B/A hybrids on open ground without replacing true fliers.
Any monster whose class upgrade makes the squad illegal is B until you recut the roster. Cheap fillers that still encircle can outrank a trophy on a six-squad special. Fallen allied monsters can often be resurrected for money; that keeps risky A-tier fliers playable. Mercenary knights are not monsters and still should take the quest deaths—see Quests and Training.
How to use the list without a fake bestiary
Start Scarlet Will or Gran Dragnica. Bind one Rally battery, one flier if height is coming, one tank that stays a hex. Hunt leaders using Combat Tips. Promote on the Class System schedule so CP matches the Stats page instead of a fabricated ATK table. Mission Mode nations named above are creature flavor and win-condition homework, not a seventh combat tier. Knights who spend the points live in the Knights & Classes Hub and the Class Tier List. Campaign choice stays on How to Play, Faction Overview, and Best Faction.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about BRIGANDINE ABYSS.
What is the S-tier monster?
The lizard extra-action Rally job is the clearest S from reviews. Fliers are S on height maps. There is no sourced unique named king of the bestiary.
Why is there no named unique monster in S-tier?
Unique titles from unofficial lists are not confirmed. This list uses dragons, unicorns, chimeras, lizards, and other faction-flavored types ranked by role.
Do promotions change a monster's tier?
They change Command Point cost. A promoted dragon can fall in practical tier if it forces you to drop the Rally battery that was actually winning fights.
Is Mission Mode's Talentis lizard better than Story Mode creatures?
It is a different pool and a different win condition, not a higher power rank. The extra-action Rally job is what is strong, wherever you bind it.
