BRIGANDINE ABYSS Class Tier List
Rank jobs. Skip Soldier-Warrior-Berserker fiction.
This class tier list ranks battlefield roles for knights in BRIGANDINE ABYSS. It does not rank Berserker, Swordmaster, Fortress, Paladin, Cleric, or Elementalist as if Adglobe published that tree. Public sources confirm more than twenty distinct classes, class change at level 10, a level 20 gate that usually needs a quest item (faction leaders exempt), and skills that improve with use. Exact titles are incomplete, so S/A/B here means “this job keeps winning reviews and maps,” not “this named promotion has the best ATK growth.” For the promotion rules themselves, stay on the Class System page. For Command Points and Rally as numbers, stay on Stats.
Knights are squad leaders. They spend Command Points on up to five monsters, Rally one creature for traits, and die at the cost of the whole remaining squad—including a rallied monster. A class that cannot protect that loop is not S-tier no matter how cool the unnamed sprite looks.
S-tier: Rally-first leaders and extra actions
The strongest “class” in published combat writing is often the leader who Rally-absorbs a lizard and takes two turns in a row. That is a monster trait copied onto a human, but it is still a class-role ranking: any knight who can survive long enough to use the extra action outscales a glass mage who Rally-dismisses themselves into silence. Movement, counter, defense, and element-on-attack Rally traits sit in the same S-band when the map asks for them. The Rally guide is mandatory reading; this list only says the job is S because reviews call the lizard double turn among the strongest tools in the game.
Frontline knights who hold zone of control and enable encirclement (accuracy, damage, crits) also sit at S for story specials that face six enemy squads. You usually deploy three of your own. Holes in the hex line get walked through. A named “Guardian” promotion is not required to understand that.
A-tier: fliers, leader-hunters, and item-fed veterans
Flying knights—or knights who Rally a flier for movement—win height maps that tax ground range. Independent monster movement lets the rest of the squad link around them. That is A-tier rather than automatic S because not every castle is a cliff, and a flier who dies while something is rallied still donates a monster.
Leader-hunters are A because defeating the enemy knight forces remaining monsters to retreat. Fast, accurate, or magic-based kits (magic often avoiding counters) belong here. Reviews complain about 75 percent swings missing; classes that lean on guaranteed-feeling spells or encirclement climb this band. Thief-like enemies on hard difficulty are called out as miserable to hit physically, which is another reason magic-capable roles stay A even when this wiki will not name their promotions.
Level 20 knights with class-change items from Quests and Training occupy A because enemy nations train without waiting on your quest log. Faction leaders skip the item and therefore play a season ahead. That is a role advantage, not a fake unique class.
B-tier: mercenaries, unpromoted fillers, and move-then-cast traps
Mercenary knights are B as combat pieces and S as quest pieces. They are gone forever on a loss. Spend them on expeditions, not as the only flyer on an event battle with locked deployments. Unpromoted fillers are B once mid-campaign CP budgets want quality; they remain useful as encirclement bodies and as the unit you drop when a monster promotion raises cost.
Mages who already moved cannot cast. Rally dismiss that counts as movement can trap the same kit. That is a B-tier habit more than a B-tier class: the role is still valuable if you stand still. Read Combat Tips before you mark every caster C-tier.
Healers are A on paper and B in the player’s hands when the AI charges them first. Keep them off the open hex; let tanks take the zone of control. Skills improving with use means a healer you actually cast with will outgrow a trophy knight you never promoted.
What this list refuses to do
It will not publish Soldier → Warrior → Berserker. It will not assign S-tier to Fortress HP. It will not pretend equipment plus-twenty-five tables exist. Geographic class locks mean Scarlet Will will not teach every kit; replay Gran Dragnica, Samura Clan, or Pandemyuon for coverage, as ranked on the Faction Tier List. Pair roles with Best Monsters and the Monster Tier List so the Rally battery and the hex tank are not the same body. Monster Summoning is the CP budget. How to Play, Faction Overview, and Best Faction still decide which campaign you learn these jobs on.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about BRIGANDINE ABYSS.
What is the best class name in BRIGANDINE ABYSS?
Public sources do not publish a complete named tree. The strongest documented job is a leader who can use Rally—especially the lizard extra action—while still holding a legal Command Point squad.
Is Fortress or Paladin S-tier?
Those titles are not sourced for this game. Frontline and healer are real roles. Inventing promotion names would make a fake tier list.
Should mercenaries be high tier?
As quest fodder, yes. As keepers of class-change items, no. They disappear forever if they lose.
Do skills and class change affect the ranking?
Yes. Skills improve with use, and the level 20 item gate (skipped by faction leaders) decides who actually reaches the second class. Rank the knight you can promote, not a spreadsheet class.
