BRIGANDINE ABYSS Faction Overview

BRIGANDINE ABYSS is a single-player war on Meltitea. Adglobe developed it; Happinet and NIS America published it. PC launched on August 26, 2026, consoles on August 27. This overview is the roster page for Story Mode: six campaigns, six nations, six protagonists. It is not a list of invented kingdoms. If a name does not appear here or on the Mission Mode page, it is not an official nation in this wiki.

Story Mode and Mission Mode share a map, not a count. Story Mode offers six campaigns. Mission Mode offers twenty-four nations, and those twenty-four already include the six story nations. You do not add the numbers together. For the shared plot, Event Battles, and campaign length, go to Story Campaigns. For which campaign to start, use Best Faction. For the core loop of seasons, squads, and Rally, start with How to Play and Game Modes.

Gran Dragnica — Largo

Gran Dragnica is a dragon-tamer nation on barren wilds. Its protagonist is Largo. The campaign is about freeing dragons that the new empire has brainwashed, not about founding a polished court. Dragons and tamers define the army’s identity. Gran Dragnica is one of the two demo factions, which makes it a practical first campaign as well as a story about tamed beasts under imperial control.

If you want the dragon-tamer fantasy and a tutorial that was actually shipped in the demo, this is the nation to open. The Campaign Walkthrough still applies: you will spend early seasons learning bases, squads, and Rally rather than skipping straight to the late map.

Scarlet Will — Garnet

Scarlet Will is a justice mercenary company on the southwestern grasslands. Unicorns sit in its identity alongside human mercenaries. Garnet becomes leader after her father is killed. Like Gran Dragnica, Scarlet Will is a demo faction and is the beginner-friendly Story Mode pick for players who want a clearer onboarding than a chimera lab or an isolated island clan.

Scarlet Will is still a full campaign, not a tutorial island you abandon. Game8’s thirty-hour estimate applies here the same as it does to the other five. The difference is tone and starting land, not a hidden easy mode that skips Event Battles.

Queendom of Mysteine — Zeilzarde

Mysteine is a small realm founded by the sorcerer Lunadea, who forged the Brigandine. You play as Zeilzarde, the Queen’s Guardian. The nation’s duty is to watch the continent, which is a different fantasy from dragon wilds or mercenary grasslands. Players who want to feel like the keepers of Meltitea’s relic, rather than rebels or mercenaries, usually start here after the demo nations.

Mysteine’s size on the map does not make it a throwaway campaign. Continent-watch duty is the theme. The Brigandine itself is the object Chaossolus steals when he founds Abyssloa; Mysteine’s history is tied to that stone even when you are not playing Abyssloa’s own Mission Mode slot.

Purifanoe — Alicebelle

Purifanoe is a hidden fairy village in a great forest. Time flows slowly inside. The protagonist is Alicebelle; Steam achievements also use the spelling Alysbelle, so both names refer to the same leader. This is not a human court with a different color palette. The forest and the slowed time are the point of the nation.

Purifanoe is available from the start along with the other five Story Mode campaigns. It is a full story, not a Mission Mode extra. If you want the fairy-village campaign after you have learned Rally on a demo nation, this is the pick. Monsters still matter; the forest does not replace the class and monster loop described in Classes.

Samura Clan — Saya

The Samura Clan is a warrior culture in the eastern Mihashira region. Saya is the protagonist. The clan is rivaled by the Shugen Clan (ninja and onmyoji), who appear as their own Mission Mode nation. Samura is an isolated island tribe, not a central empire. Isolation is the geography; warrior culture is the identity.

Playing Samura in Story Mode is not the same as playing the Shugen Clan in Mission Mode. One is a full narrative campaign. The other is one of twenty-four Mission Mode nations with its own win condition. If you care about the Mihashira rivalry, finish Saya’s story, then open Shugen in Mission Mode rather than treating them as one interchangeable Japan-inspired slot.

Pandemyuon — TYPE-F

Pandemyuon is the chimera-research nation. You play as TYPE-F, a chimera-created boy who defects after meeting a sacred maiden. The research is secret and tied to Chaossolus. This is the unusual Story Mode campaign: not a kingdom, not a mercenary band, not a fairy village, but a lab-born protagonist walking away from the project that made him.

Pandemyuon is available from the start. It is a poor first campaign only in the sense that Gran Dragnica and Scarlet Will were built as demo onboarding. If the chimera story is why you bought the game, you can start here. Just expect Story Mode’s Event Battle rules to apply the same as they do to Largo or Garnet.

How Story Mode uses these six

Chaossolus, advisor to Solginat, kills the king, steals the Brigandine, and declares the Abyssloa Empire. Each Story Mode campaign is a different nation’s answer to that crisis. Story members join automatically. Some nations cannot be invaded until Event Battles fire. Event Battles can call any squads regardless of where they stand on Meltitea. Fail an Event Battle and the campaign ends.

That structure is why this overview does not rank the six as S through D. Story Mode is narrative. Mission Mode is where win conditions, including twenty-season conquest and debt seasons, decide how hard a nation feels. The Faction Tier List is a companion page; it does not override the six-campaign design. Hex fights themselves are covered in Rally. FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about BRIGANDINE ABYSS.

Who are the six Story Mode protagonists?

Largo of Gran Dragnica, Garnet of Scarlet Will, Zeilzarde of Mysteine, Alicebelle of Purifanoe (Steam also uses Alysbelle), Saya of the Samura Clan, and TYPE-F of Pandemyuon.

Which Story Mode nations are in the demo?

Gran Dragnica and Scarlet Will. They are the usual first campaigns because the demo already teaches their opening hours.

Is Mysteine the same as Abyssloa?

No. Mysteine is a small queendom founded by Lunadea, who forged the Brigandine. Abyssloa is the empire Chaossolus declares after stealing that Brigandine. Abyssloa is a Mission Mode nation; Mysteine is a Story Mode campaign.

Can I play nations other than these six in Story Mode?

No. Story Mode has only these six campaigns. Other official nations such as Ergennacht, the Shugen Clan, or Brigand appear in Mission Mode's twenty-four, which already includes the six story nations.
