Getting Started Hub

BRIGANDINE ABYSS is a single-player tactical strategy RPG developed by Adglobe. Happinet publishes it in Japan; NIS America publishes it in the West. Steam for PC launched on August 26, 2026. Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S launched on August 27, 2026. Xbox is digital-only. Standard price is $49.99. There is no multiplayer.

You command a nation on the continent of Meltitea. The armor called the Brigandine was forged by the sorcerer Lunadea and once stopped the Abyssloa Empire. Two hundred years later the Kingdom of Solginat is the superpower. Advisor Chaossolus kills the king, steals the Brigandine, and declares the Abyssloa Empire reborn. Story Mode follows that crisis through six campaigns. Mission Mode lets you pick any of 24 nations, each with its own win condition. This hub is the map of pages you should read before you waste a season.

How to Play

The How to Play page is the first stop. It explains the season loop: Organization for recruiting, quests, training, shopping at Niffrom’s Market, and base upgrades; Attack for invading neighbors; Invasion for hex battles. Some write-ups group Attack and Invasion together. It also covers squads of up to three leaders, Command Points for up to five monsters each, Rally, Dismiss, class change at level 10, and the level 20 item rule. Event battles can use units regardless of map location. Some rival nations stay locked until story events fire.

If Rally is the system you want next, go from that overview to the Rally guide and then to combat tips.

Controls and Options

Skip fake key charts. The Controls page sticks to confirmed inputs and options: full controller support, PC mouse and keyboard, Steam Cloud, achievements, and save-anytime. Switch 2 is locked at 30fps by design. PC version 1.01 adds V-Sync, 30/60/120/144/unlimited frame-rate caps, unit color coding, Default/Medium/Small unit size, buying equipment from the change-equipment screen, and mouse edge-scroll.

Game Modes

Game Modes compares Story Mode and Mission Mode. Story Mode has six campaigns: Gran Dragnica under Largo, Scarlet Will under Garnet, Mysteine (the Queendom) under Zeilzarde, Purifanoe under Alicebelle, the Samura Clan under Saya, and Pandemyuon under TYPE-F. Mission Mode opens all 24 nations from the start. Win conditions include conquest, debt, money, monster collection, class limits, and short season limits. Typical Mission runs last 99 seasons. Difficulty is Easy, Normal, or Hard; Normal is already demanding.

Campaign identities live on the faction overview and Story campaigns pages. Mission objectives are expanded on Mission Mode.

Release, Editions, and the Demo

Release lists platforms, languages, staff, and what the demo actually contains. The demo is the first two seasons of Gran Dragnica and Scarlet Will. Demo saves do not transfer.

Editions & Demo compares Standard at $49.99, Deluxe (Switch 2 and PS5 digital) with a mini art book and digital soundtrack, and the Limited Edition at $89.99 (PS5 disc or Switch 2 Game Key Card) with Art from the Abyss, Anthems of War, Storied Figures acrylic stands, the Faction Symbol pin set, and a Cloth Map of Meltitea. Steam also sells a Digital Soundtrack ($12.99) and a Digital Artbook ($9.99). Those extras are not gameplay DLC. No story expansion has been announced.

After the first hours

Once the loop is clear, use base building and quests and training during Organization, the class system at promotion time, and monster summoning when you spend Command Points. The tier list and review help you pick a first campaign. Patch notes live on Updates. The rest of the Guides hub is for systems that do not belong in an onboarding page.
